Terms of Use
The terms for this website and for Navigator, including the license you receive when you try or buy it.

1. About these terms
These terms are between you and Narrative Node ("we", "us"). They cover this website and Navigator, which is the Premiere Pro panel together with Sentinel for Narrative Node, the background app that builds its thumbnails. By using the website, starting a trial, or buying or activating a license, you agree to them. If you use Navigator for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
Lemon Squeezy sells Navigator as the merchant of record, and its Buyer Terms govern the payment. Those terms say the software itself is licensed to you by us, and this page is that license. If the two conflict on payment, tax or refunds, the Buyer Terms win. On everything else, these terms win.
2. Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Navigator for your own work, including paid client work, for as long as your license is valid. One license key covers two computers that you use yourself. You can't give or sell your key to anyone else.
- Free trial. Every feature works for 7 days from the first time you open Navigator. No card and no account is needed.
- Monthly and Yearly. The license lasts while your subscription is active, and includes updates during that time.
- Perpetual. You pay once and keep the version you have. You also get updates for as long as we publish them.
- License checks. Sentinel checks your license about once a day. A licensed computer keeps working offline for 7 days after its last successful check. After that, the panel asks you to connect so it can check again.
3. Plans, payment and cancellation
Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Lemon Squeezy adds any tax that applies and takes the payment. Monthly and Yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. To cancel, use your Lemon Squeezy orders page or email us, at least 48 hours before the end of the billing period. The cancellation takes effect at the next payment date, and you keep your license until then. If we change the price of a subscription, Lemon Squeezy will tell you before the new price applies to your renewal.
Refunds are covered in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
4. What you can't do
You agree that you will not:
- share, publish or sell your license key, or use Navigator on more computers than your license covers;
- copy, resell, rent, sublicense or distribute Navigator or any part of it;
- remove, disable or get around the license check or any other protection in the software;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify Navigator, except where the law gives you that right despite this term;
- use Navigator or this website to break the law or someone else's rights.
5. Who owns what
We own Navigator, Sentinel, this website and the Narrative Node name and logo. These terms give you a license to use the software, not ownership of it. You own your footage, projects and everything you make. We don't claim any right to them and we don't access them. See the Privacy Policy for what Navigator does send over the internet.
6. Third-party software and names
Navigator downloads ffmpeg the first time it runs. ffmpeg is separate software under the LGPL, and its own license applies to it. We don't include it in our installer. Adobe and Premiere Pro are trademarks of Adobe, and Final Cut Pro is a trademark of Apple. Narrative Node is not affiliated with Adobe or Apple, and neither endorses Navigator.
Navigator runs inside Premiere Pro. When Adobe changes Premiere Pro, parts of Navigator may stop working until we update it. We'll work on fixes but can't promise a date.
7. Updates and support
We may update Navigator to fix bugs, add features or keep up with Premiere Pro, and the software tells you when a newer version exists. We may also change or remove a feature. Support is by email at [email protected]. We try to help every customer but don't promise a response time.
8. No warranty
We test Navigator on real projects, but software can fail, and your project files are worth backing up. To the extent the law allows, Navigator is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty that it will be error free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.
9. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost work, and our total liability to you for any claim about Navigator is limited to the price you paid for your license in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or any rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.
10. Ending your license
You can stop using Navigator at any time. We, or Lemon Squeezy, can end your license if you break these terms or the Buyer Terms, or if your payment is refunded or reversed. When a license ends, the panel stops accepting your key at its next check. The terms about ownership and the limits on liability continue after that.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version goes on this page with a new date. If a change affects what you've already paid for, we'll tell you before it applies to you. If you keep using Navigator after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
12. General
If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we haven't given it up. These terms, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Navigator.
